That was a "rip-snorter" of a thunder storm that we had, around 4 o'clock, yesterday afternoon! Today's forecast does not call for any such major electrical events, but the humidity will be especially high, this morning, and it's certainly going to feel very warm and sticky.

Soggy Sunday

If the Yankees hoped that the Devil Rays would cool down, it didn't work: they lost 6 - 19. It was Boston over L.A. 7 - 6 in the 11th.
We'll be off for our usual "Ride in the Country," today, but I just want to send this message to E. Breenbush, New York:
to Jessica and Chris, whose son Samuel Joseph Desany was born Friday evening in Albany. Sam's older brother's name is Nate, and his grandparents are Kelly and Joe Falk of Putnam Street and Jean and Tony Desany, former Watervillians who now live in Amherst, New Hampshire.
